Just saw "Casablanca" and it was absolutely mesmerizing viewing it inside this stunningly beautiful theater with all the period details such as balconies and gorgeous ornamental ceiling touches, etc. And the visual quality of this black and white masterpiece was awe inspiring! So very happy that a few of these hallowed theaters still exist, absolutely blows away the horrific and sterile modern multiplexes

We were ecstatic when we heard they were screening Its A Wonderful Life. This theatre has such a great story and we were able to be part of the legacy and happiness this place provides. Thank you again Lafayette Theatre. It’s always a great experience. And the live organ playing is such a treat. :)

The best. A piece of Rockland county history. Authentic. Gorgeous. Not too many theaters like this left. Excited for the future of it and a whole new post-pandemic life hosting all kinds of events that benefit the town and the residents. It is an old building with nostalgia. A throwback to times gone by. A very special place in general to watch a show of any kind. All my love to the Lafayette. It has a spot in my heart forever. 👍🏻🎞️🎥🎬📽️❣️

Very beautiful theater. The seats are comfortable with decent leg space. Clean and to me very homey. Staff welcoming and friendly. Compared to NYC, their prices are a giveaway. I'm not sure if they have parking. We parked on the street but there are lots of street parking. The theater is also located in a beautiful area where there are lots of amenities all around.

It does look like a lot has been done to upkeep this wonderful place, but more needs to be done. A gentleman playing olden tunes on an organ was a classy touch. The bathroom was clean but in need of major remodeling. The seats are not intended for the size of behinds of moden people; the ones on the balcony are a bit bigger and in better shape.

Live organ music being played before the movie, fantastic decor in this 1923 theater makes you feel like you have stepped back in time. The manager, Franco, is more than happy to talk about its history and the family that owns it now. Great old world charm to see todays current movies. A must when you are in the Suffern area!
